NNN MCP server
One endpoint that gives any AI assistant Nuclear News Network’s verified knowledge graph: the organizations, sites, reactor units, designs, programs and policies of the nuclear buildout, how they connect, and what NNN has reported about each.
Server URL · Streamable HTTP
https://mcp.nuclearnewsnetwork.com/mcpOAuth 2.1 (Claude, ChatGPT, Grok, VS Code) or API key (xAI API, scripts) · MCP 2026-07-28, with 2025-era clients supported
Connect in a minute
Pick your client. OAuth clients only need the URL: you sign in once and approve access.
- In Claude (web or desktop) open Settings → Connectors and choose Add custom connector.
- Name it
Nuclear News Networkand paste the server URLhttps://mcp.nuclearnewsnetwork.com/mcp. - Click Connect, sign in to NNN, then Allow access. Claude registers itself through OAuth; there is no key to paste.
- Enable the connector in a chat from the + menu and ask: “Who are the shareholders of Sizewell C?”
What you can ask
The tools are read-only and answer with sourced, dated records. Try:
- Who owns Hinkley Point C today, and how has CGN's stake changed since 2016?
- List every reactor under construction in China with its vendor and expected grid connection.
- Which drone incidents have affected the Zaporizhzhia site since August?
- Map the companies within two hops of TerraPower: owners, contractors, offtakers.
- What changed in NNN's data since 1 October?
How it works
NNN keeps its data in git: every entity, tracker project, incident and relationship is a reviewed file with primary sources. After each publish, a loader rebuilds a read-only knowledge graph from those files. The MCP server answers from that graph and stamps every response with the dataset version, so you always know which state of the data you are reading.
- Entities have one permanent id,
{type}:{slug}, such asorg:edforunit:vogtle-3, linked to Wikidata, LEI and stock tickers where verified. See Data model. - Edges connect them: parent and subsidiary, operator, vendor, site and design, tracker owners and EPC contractors, program participation and, on Pro, the relationship ledger.
- Every record carries its sources, a
last_verifieddate and a confidence grade. Please cite them.
Free and Pro
9 tools are free with an account (60 calls an hour): search, entity records, the reactor tracker, incidents and articles. 6 Pro tools add the relationship ledger, ownership tables, graph traversal, unit history and the change feed (1,000 calls an hour).
Next steps
- Connect a client: every supported client, step by step.
